Tough times ...

"Faith gives us the understanding which leads to our break through during tough times"

Having a business can really test your strengths and weaknesses as an individual, if not bring out the best in you. There is that one moment in time that can determine the destiny of your career, good or bad. That idea sometimes scares me. Because I`ve come to realize when you put so much work into something you love, you don`t want to see it fail.

My business has been in the fore front for the past 9 months, and this is the most work i`ve ever put into it. I know that every step I take can either be great or detrimental to the growth of my company. My company failing is the last thing I want to see happen. As money draws tight, business is slowing down a bit, and things just aren`t coming as I want them to, I slowly begin to feel my hope dwindling. I`m looking at the way things are going in the natural realm and it`s looking crazy. I run my business full time, no other income- so now that things aren`t flowing they way I need them to be I start to panic. Empty pockets can make a person go crazy! Especially when you don`t like to depend on others. Things aren`t looking so good. I need other alternatives.

The dark hour is upon me. I have come to realize that this may be my point of break through. This may be that test that we all get to see what our faith level is. Being human, it is hard to come to a point to step aside and TRUST that God is going to do what he says he will do. 'Never leave you, nor forsake you'. But how can we let him prove himself as Omega, the almighty in our life if we don`t take that leap of faith. I struggle to do so, and I know this- but I don`t want that to get in the way of my prosperity. So I feel it`s that time to let God take the reigns. I am scared - but I know he knows the best for me.

They say that when things get the toughest, that`s when the best in you shows through. Because it will cause things to happen inside of you that will exude out of you. Things you didn`t know you had. But that`s why you always hear people say, 'If I hadn`t went through this I would have never known that I was capable of doing this...' It is so simple- but so true. I have come to a point where I am not going to let the enemy steer me to a path that I am not supposed to be taking. I have to keep my eye on the prize, or how else will I win? You can never get where you are going if you are letting distractions waiver you from your predestined greatness. It`s time to put my faith to work, because as the bible says, "faith without works is dead"

"Don`t let your tough time get the best of you, get the best out of the tough time"

We are crazy about Pirate Romance

The top things that all women love are clothes, shoes, make-up, and accessories (handbags, sunglasses, and jewelry) All women may not be a huge fan of everything I just stated but there is at least one item that all women go goo-goo-ga-ga over. That one item that they will go out and cash out on every season. For me it`s all the above. When you enjoy every aspect of being fashionable you can`t get enough of just one, you enjoy them all.

Of recent, I have had a craze over accessories. After becoming my mom`s secret stylist our focus has been on 'accessories' namely - jewelry. It`s always those final touches that can either make or break your outfit. I was recently introduced through a mutual friend to this super creative jewelry designer. I was told I should check out her work, so I followed the advice and fell in love! From the recent spring collection there were many statement pieces that I felt would go awesome with any kind of outfit and reach many different customers. So I felt it only right to talk with her about this outstanding line of hers.

What`s your name, and where are you from?
My name is Joi French I'm originally from Newark, NJ and Brooklyn, NY.

What is your background in design? Did you always have this passion when you were younger, did you go to school for it?
I am a self-taught designer but I have always done this since I was younger. I used to make outfits for my stuffed animals out of my mom's hosiery! My educational background is communications and PR.

What`s the one piece of jewelry you own that is like your prized possession. One that is not of your own brand.
Honestly I don't have one sad to say. My family used to buy me so much nice jewelry, fine jewelry and I would always lose it! One earring would go missing, a necklace. They and I gave up! I think that's why I make fashion jewelry versus fine.

If you could wear one piece of jewelry for the rest of your life what would it be?
Probably this simple silver lariat I made. It has a feather on the end. It's versatile like me.

Do you remember the first day you decided you wanted to create your brand? What was that day like, and how long ago was it?
I always knew I wanted my own line/brand, even when I was in corporate America. I started it officially January 5th, 2010

* EARRINGS *

How did you come up with the name 'Pirate Romance', is there a story behind that?
I wanted something catchy and memorable of course. It's also a nod to one of my favorite brands, Australian line, Romance Was Born.

When you design your items where do you base your inspiration from?
My inspiration comes from everything and anything virtually. I am an extremely visual person so I can see a color, a shape and want to translate that into something wearable. I am also very much inspired by pop art.

What message do you hope to bring to women through your jewelry?
My message is to essentially not to be a sheep. You can wear custom and exclusive pieces without breaking the bank or wearing what everyone else is wearing. Be bold, don't be afraid to have people look at you.

Do you plan to expand your brand past just jewelry?
Yes, I am launching menswear with tee's and crew necks that line is called Crimes Against Thugs. Also a women's dress line entitled MANNEKIN (mannequin). Both will be available in August for autumn, winter collections.

Where can people contact you (facebook, twitter, ect) , and purchase your jewelry from (online, stores, ect)
My company's twitter is www.twitter.com/inpiratewetrust and you can also like us Facebook at www.facebook.com/inpiratewetrust.
I have an online store at www.inpiratewetrust.com and you can find my pieces there and also at various retailers such as Karmaloop (online), House of Adrene (Atlanta, GA), and Number-A (Los Angeles, CA)

Getting personal PT.1

Sometimes I wonder how far I would be in my career if I would have eliminated the guys who came along and distracted me from my path. When the enemy knows your weakness, he will continue to always put those temptations in your path. You may not realize it at the time of occurance, but you will in your time of reflection. You will never come to realize your weaknesses until you sit back and analyze yourself thouroughly & TRUTHFULLY.

We will always come up with some excuse as to why we do the things we do, why we act the way we act amongst other things. However, in the end that`s all they are - excuses. They never amount up to anything but a figmented image we try to portray as our truth. When you can be truthful to yourself- then I believe that you can be truthful to others. But on a greater level when you can open up and be truthful with GOD, you can`t help but be truthful to then yourself & other people.

Many times the lies that we try to create as truths become our greatest enemy. More times then any WE are the ones in a fight with ourself; we are our own worst enemy. Because in the end it is US who determine the outcome of our life. So you can either stay in your own way, or move over. A choice that is said so plainly and simple - but I bet you people won`t catch it and make the change.

WILL YOU?

Pressing towards the Mark; Close & Personal pt. 1

So, I`ve been on this pursuit of happiness. Trying to find that comfortable balance between my personal life and my business life. Something that I`ve found to take time, patience, and above all God`s unchanging hand. It`s always funny when you see how much better life can run when you keep God involved. A realization I`ve come to many of times after I try to do things my way. However, after you are proven wrong so many times you finally just come to a point where you give in, and surrender. I`ve waved my white flag - and am trying things differently this final time around.

Personal Life: 'If you don`t take care of yourself, what good are you to anyone else?'

When it comes to the end of time, all you have is yourself. The decisions you make determine the life you will live. Ultimately, you have to know how to manage your life. A statement that may seem so simple - but in reality it`s not. You are the ruler of your own mind so you must know how to control it. Otherwise, your mind will be the ruler over you.
Taking control of my life is the most liberating thing I have ever done. So many times I`ve found myself letting others influence me, which led to wrong decisions being made. You can say it set me back, but there were lessons to be learned indefinitely. I have been taking time out to see that life is all about your perspective. When bad situations come I no longer dwell on the fact that it`s something bad, but instead I try to look at what is the good from it? Which has helped me be able to deal with things that have been happening in my life.

Business Life: 'If you want something of great value, you have to invest time to get it"

Nothing will come easy in the world of business. Whether if it means that you have to spend years in school accumulating the education you need to fulfill the position, spending endless nights working on projects, or dealing with unbearable people. It all comes with the territory. You have to know your purpose, be ready to put up a fight (if need be), and be willing to put in time.
Beautiifash & Co - is my business. Ever since July of 2010 this has been my full time hustle. A business that has been running for almost 3 years now. But, when it came time for me to figure out what my next path was going to be, the only clear answer was that I start putting time into my future. The way I seen it situations panned out the way they did because it was already preordained to happen. Things are working out awesome! I`ve been able to reach more people, linking up with other great networks, and sending out a message that is truly touching people.
I`ve had more people telling me how they`ve been keeping up with my blog (me not even knowing) and how what I have said, or what I am doing is awesome and inspiring to them; or that they have gotten a word that is helping them. To hear that, is such a blessing. My business is my life, and to know that my vision, my words, and my work are making a difference in peoples lives makes all the 'time' I put into this company worth it!

"United Virtuoso Presents; Where is Hip-Hop -- Cypher Competition VOL. 2"

When you think of Hip-Hop most times you think of the
main stream artists. But before they became the artists that we know with the money, the cars, and the fame they all started at the bottom. Where they had to put in extended amounts of hard work, endless hours, and probably had to sacrifice things just to get to the dream of 'making it'. Before it all they were looking for exposure, looking for that next possible fan, looking for that one moment that would change their life. February 12th, 2011 MC's came out to The Alexandria in Downtown Los Angeles to get that recognition.
The event was hosted by none other then Mr JOJOISKINGSWAG aka JoJo (some may know him as Justin`s best friend from BET's Baldwin Hills). The Judges of the competition consisted of VOL 1 cypher competition winner Buggsy Capri, Audio Push, Kentmoney & B.Carr of Surf Club as well as some other rising artists and known names within the industry. The competition was one that you had an idea of who was going to be out, and who it was going to come down to. When it was all said and done there could only be one winner; and it came down to a 3 round battle between "A-Dog & Verbs". When it came to the last few bars before the judges had to crown the newest winner the choice was clear - A-Dog came out victorious. His flow was dope, his punch lines were on, and he had energy behind what he said that made you that made you say 'OOOOOOOH'. Personally I thought he had it after the second round, but when he was done with his third round it was definitely clear as to why he was dubbed the winner.

The Host ; JOJO

The event was put on by United Virtuoso, KS Consulting, and Lasia Lynnai. United Virtuoso is a management company that manage artists, book shows, and photo shoots amongst other categories. KS Consulting is a Fashion Consulting company that helps with branding, marketing, and image consulting for all things fashion. Lastly, Lasia Lynnai is an artists who is managed under United Virtuoso.

The event not only consisted of the Cypher Competition, but it was also a forum for other talents to come together and network. There were also other designers who came out and set up as featured vendors. Lucratif Clothing, 1TWO Clothing, Snap Back Shack, and BLOW. All of which are doing awesome things with their companies. I had the pleasure of speaking with all but one of the companies, and plan to get some personal features of each company.

The over all event was great and an experience that couldn`t be missed. With guest Performaces by Sophia Fresh, Jay Are Kay Dance Krew, TIU, and Buggsy Capri. The energy the whole night was nothing but positivity and support for all forms of creativity. This being a monthy event that is held, I recommend everyone to come out to the next one and get in on history.

My Letter to Mr Valentine

Dear Mr. Valentine,

February 14th is a day when u bring out the true emotions of every individual that tries to mask it the other 364 days of the year. This is a day when you can see those who truly aren’t happy being alone, and depend on someone to bring them happiness. You deceive them to believe that- in order to have special things done for them, and let alone to feel loved they need ‘someone’ to have it.

I don’t find myself to be one of your victims this year. I have served time in that prison many years past - but not this one. I’ve come to realize that before someone else can make me happy, I have to know what makes me happy. I’ve found that putting all my hopes in any individual to give me an emotion that I can get ahold of myself- is a waste of time.

Mr Valentine … God is my happiness. No man can ever give me the happiness he gives me. I always know I can trust him, that he knows what’s best for me, and will never do anything to hurt me or steer me wrong. I’ve come to realize Mr. Valentine that in this time of my life, this season - I am growing to find love. Not just for myself but for him. I’ve spent so much time trying to find love with a man, that I forgot about finding love with him. A love incomparable to that of a man. In this time and in this season I am looking for a different kind of love. I don’t want a man to love me just enough to get what he wants, I want a man who will fall in love with me without measure. That’s something I can’t rush and I’ve learned that now. So in this time and in this season I’m learning to love God so that one day when its truly meant to be, a man will come along and fall in love with me.

So I didn’t succumb to you today Mr. Valentine I was happy on this day. Because I have a heavenly father who loves me, my natural father who loves me, mother, brother, family, friends, and most importantly me. This girl isn’t lonely nor sad - so I’ll be taking my happiness back!

53rd Annual Grammy Awards - Worst Dressed

I have no words - I just want to get to the photos.

So she`s pregnant - and this is what she decided to wear. I`m sorry - but this was a major miss. There have been many occurrences of pregnant celebs on the red carpet. There are definitely a list of things to wear and not to wear. This was a major situation of what NOT to wear. It`s not flattering, or appealing to the eye. The design of the dress alone didn`t even make the cut. Maybe next time the person behind this look should do some homework.

So I love the bra top. I felt that was the only part of the gown that I enjoyed, the rest of it was a train crash. I understand the artistry of things that celebs try to portray sometimes. On the other hand, I feel like this wasn`t the time to be experimental with that. Even so, this wasn`t a very good choice to do it with on top of that. If this look would have been executed a lot better, this could have been a flawless look. Better luck next time.

I just don`t know about this. I think this is more of an MTV awards kind of look. Has a hint of glamour/spunk - but eeehhh I don`t know about this one for the Grammys. It was one of those looks where you had to cock your head to the side and squint your eye, and double look it. Just wasn`t right.

No Nicki, why? I always love to see what she is going to wear to different events because she is an artist of experimentation. Maybe not on the same level as Lady Gaga, but she likes to be daring. However, this look made me shake my head in disappointment. It was seriously just overdone with the Leopard. The shoes, leggings, dress, gloves, hair. It made me want to scream. Flop!

I seriously want to talk to the person who styled this woman. There is such a thing as confidence, but there is such a thing as knowing what your body type can and cannot wear. This my friends is an example of the importance of knowing this critical rule of thumb. This was a major fail to me, on so many levels that I don`t even know where to begin. So I won`t. I advise for her to get a new stylist or have a major talk with him/her.

53rd Annual Grammy Awards - Best Dressed

When celebrities get ready for any kind of award show (let alone any kind of public appearance), most times they have a team behind what you see on the red carpet. I find it very rare to know any celebrity that may go out on their own and pick out what they want to wear to such an event as an award show. However, I`m sure there are some who do it. When it came to this years hit and miss list I enjoyed a few looks, but I didnt like a lot more looks then what I liked. Kind of disappointing. To start things off, we are going to go on a good note.

Jennifer Hudson ; Versace
Ever since her recent weight loss, I am with out words of her transformation. She is absolutely breath taking, not anymore then what she was before. However, you must say she is doing it, and you can tell by the glow of confidence she radiates now. This red carpet was owned by her and this beautiful Versace dress to show off her new shape. I give two thumbs up for the look, hair make-up and all.

Heidi Klum ; Julien MacDonald

Now if any of you seen the Golden Globes you seen that Miss Klum missed it majorly! I was nervous to see what she was going to come out in, and was hoping she was going to redeem herself. As I seen her dress I was ecstatic! She looked great, and the dress was just right. It showed off her great shape (after having 4 kids), and showed off just enough. Showing a little back never fails to amaze the cameras, and always gives that extra punch. Loved it!

Jennifer Lopez ; Emilio Pucci

Can I have this look right away?! She was definitely one of the best dressed and hit it out of the park with this one. It was Simply Stunning. Although, it was a simple short mini dress the fabrication that the designer chose for it was amazing- let alone brilliant. With a look like this she definitely had the legs to complete the look, and make any woman jealous. Gotta have it!

Do you know my company ... Beautiifash & Co ?

I am Jeantel Torrence owner of Beautiifash & Co. I hail from Rancho Cucamonga California, and am an alumni graduate from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM). Even though I only twenty-three, I am on a mission to change the fashion world greatly. My company holds heavy influences of positivity, creativity, and a vision to make a difference not only through my product, but through my company - my brand. Some may only know my company for its products, but what many don`t know is that I want my brand to extend past just that. As I try to strive and live my life right, I know that my talent supersedes just to be a benefit to myself, but that it is for the people I am trying to touch. I believe strongly that if I can use my brand to spread positivity, hope, and love that great results will follow.

“I don`t do this for me, I do this for that little girl – that little boy who is like me. Just trying to be accepted, just trying to be successful, and just trying to make a positive influence. I grew up being made fun of because of my originality and I want to encourage those who are going through the same. You can do it if you trust in God, embrace your individuality, and always remember that what you go through is for a greater purpose. To be a light of guidance to those who are going through the same thing you went through, and made it out of. I made it – and I’m here to spread a message. If I can make some kind of difference in one person’s life I feel I’ve succeeded. However, I strive to make a difference in millions, billions, even trillions because I have a purpose. That purpose is to show people that God is the only reason I have made it to where I am, and do what I do. We all have our stories – and he has played a major role in mine. I am not ashamed to say. So I’m here – are you ready for me?”

He comes along side us ...

"He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us." (2 Corinthians 1:4 *message bible*)

Often times when your on a path of greatness, there will be a lot of obstacles to over come to make it to your destination. It`s never going to be an easy road to follow. You will always have the people around you who you feel should be  avid supporters - aren`t. You will be discouraged to believe that you can make it big, and be successful. You are going to feel like you just want to give up on hard work and patience to get to success the quick way. But I believe that those things that come quick - leave quick. However, if you can persevere through adversity then the reward of your accomplishments will be that much greater. Those same dreams that seem impossible to reach - You WILL reach them. At the same time, it will be encouragement to someone else who is trying to do the same.

As of lately, i`ve found myself becoming discouraged. Situations that are going on in my life right now, is making my dream seem to fall farther and farther away from grasp. Sometimes it almost seems pointless to keep going. It`s hard when you hear so many people say "anything is possible, just follow your dreams - and you will achieve". However, it`s not until you find out how much work is required to get to those dreams that sometimes makes you fall away from those dreams. Settling for that regular 9-5 just to get a paycheck to survive. Disappearing into the crowd of billions. That`s when having your support group, and people who are striving for the same goal as you is important to have. I`ve found that the more I find people who are wanting to get to the same place as me, it keeps me going. I may be running my business alone, but that doesn`t mean I have to try and make it alone. Some of the people that I am surrounded by who have their own clothing line, business, or are just living out their dreams as we speak truly inspire me. I have told some, but not all. I watch by silently and gravitate towards their energy. Because if you`re surrounded by positivity you are bound to have positive outcomes. However, if you`re surrounded by negativity you are bound to have negative outcomes.

It`s always at the times when you feel at your lowest that you have to push through. Don`t fall into the trap and lies of those who are "hating". H.A.T.E.R.S = Having Anger Towards Everyone Reaching Success. You will have those who don`t want anything for you, but to be miserable just like them. That`s why its important to protect your blessings from those who just want to bring you down. It doesn`t include just strangers, but it`s even those who are closest to you; family & friends. The best thing you can do to the haters in encourage them in something. Most times I feel like haters have a dream, but they are lacking support, encouragement, and positivity. As we look for someone to be those things for us, we should try to be those things to someone else.

Until Next time,
Keep it Beautiful
Keep it Fashionable

Golden Globes 2011 Best Dressed

Now I know many of you fashionistas/fashionistos either tuned in for the red carpet and showing of the 68th Annual Golden Globes Awards. On the other hand, for those who are like me, just tuned in for the red carpet to see what all the celebs decided to wear. Now on an occassion like this I find it`s very vital to look at your best, and be dressed appropriate for such a night as this. Now the way I see it, there are many award shows and I feel they all call out for a certain dress code and dress standard. The Golden Globes is one that you want to wear your best and be prepared for, and not look like you picked out your outfit at the last minute out of a Nordstrom`s Rack clearance section. Now there were a nice handful of women that I felt hit this image and appearance right on the head. I decided to narrow it down to my top 3. Now mind you, I picked these out before I looked at what other blogs, gossip columns, and sites dubbed as the best dressed. It looks like I did pretty well for my first award critique, because all these were in the top picks.

ANGELINA JOLIE; Atelier Versace
Out of the few Emerald green gresses that were worn that night, I felt she rocked it the best! Miss Jolie is definitely wearing this dress. The timeless Long sleeve gown with a minor train was so simple; with its beautiful sparkle, but looked so good. However I do wish that she would have done something better with her hair. That is where I deducted some points. If she was going to wear it down some soft curls could have turned this don`t into a do.

EVA LONGORIA; Zac Posen
This Gown was absolutely GORGEOUS! When I seen this, I automatically wanted it. I loved everything about this look. The dress fit her body to the T, it had timeless chic and glamour, and was accerssorized perfecty to show off the pure simplistic beauty of the gown and not drown it out. Her make-up was fresh and light. And her hair looked great! She walked that red carpet looking amazing, two thumbs up!

ANNE HATHAWAY; Armani Prive
What I love about this dress is how some people found it to be kind of out dated. This is a look that I feel was effortless, and came together on its own. Head to toe was picture perfect. BUT WAIT, just when you thought there wasn`t any punch to the dress, besides the beaded|sequins detail and puffed sleeve- she turns around and she`s got the back completely exposed. Something I definitely adore and am a fan of. This is what did it for me on this look. Aside from the outfit her hair and make-up was lovely as well.

Almost there;

Jennifer Lopez; Zuhair Murad
Leighton Meester; Burberry Prorsum
Scarlett Johansson; Elie Saab

MLK

Today is the day we celebrate one man, of many who stood up and made a difference for African Americans. This man didn`t make a difference through violence, but he made a difference with his words, his love, and his dedication. We as African Americans can sometimes take the freedom we have today for granted because we were born with the same rights as every other man. However, things weren`t as they were today. There are many who probably would have never thought in a million years that we would have an African American president. And yet, here we are today as a race, as a people who overcame adversity that could have tore our nation apart. I am grateful for this man and his efforts, his suffering, and his heart. He was one cause that effected the rest of the world. Awesome … Thank You MLK … Thank You!

Happy Martin Luther King Jr Day !!

Female Weezy ? We think so ...

"6`7"

Exclusive interview with B Dot Oh Yesss
'She`s ready to let the game know she`s here, and no we not talking bout Weezy'

So for those who don`t know you, give us a quick bio of yourself. My name is Brittani Dominique Smith, but I go by the name of B Dot Oh Yesss. I`m 24 years old From Rialto/Rancho Cucamonga, and I am a musician (rap and harmonize ha-ha).

*Laughs* harmonize ... is that right? Yes ma'am *laughs* People don`t know that side of me yet but they definitely will.

So when you say harmonize are you saying that you can sing - I’m sure inquiring minds want to know? I can sing a little but I'll just say harmonize just so there will be no confusion and a certain expectation *laughs*.

Ha-ha ok, that`s the safe thing to do. When was the first time that you spit a sick flow and knew that this was what you wanted to do? To be honest I didn't know at all until I was talked into it by Jordan (cousin/manager) and this was at the end of September 2010. So it was just a spur of the moment type thing. My first time in the studio I super fell in love with this whole making music thing.

What was the first encounter he had of this talent of yours, or in other words how did he find out you even had the ability to rap? He found out at the beginning of September when he heard a couple of songs a friend and I had done. Those songs where just for fun I wasn't even thinking about pursuing this

So would you say this was a talent you never knew you really had? I knew I could do it but not to this extent I just thought it was always a biased opinion so I never took myself serious.

Oh ok, so how would you describe your style of rapping? My style, I would have to say I’m very similar to Lil Wayne because we use NUMEROUS amounts of metaphors.

So would you say that he influences you lyrically ... or would you say the comparison is coincidental? I would probably say both...if that makes any sense.

Yes it does. How does it make you feel when you hear people comparing you and saying that you’re the female Wayne? Do you feel pressured by that or inspired? First and foremost, I definitely feel inspired because it’s such an honor. That’s like a kid who grew up idolizing Michael Jordan and people later compare this kid to him. However, it can be a little pressuring but I’m used to being a competitor so it’s not bad at all.

Right, I can only imagine how that made you feel - when you had that first person tell you, “wow you are the female Wayne.” So let`s keep it real - do you feel like you’re as skilled as Wayne, or better? Ha-ha yes I was all smiles, I’m actually smiling right now *laughs*. Ehh I would just say I feel like I can compete for now, but I will definitely work on getting on his level completely or maybe even better. Everyone wants to be the best at something and that is what I am definitely working on.

If people are already comparing you to him, you can only get better, I live to see the day when you battle with him. *laughs* because I’m going to be there when you beat him. But, since this is the beginning of 2011, what do you plan to accomplish this year? Ha-ha I can’t wait for that day either. I just plan on doing as many songs as I can and working on my craft. But the biggest goal is to put my team (The U) and me on the map! And after that SPACE is definitely the limit!

Yeah because the sky is no longer the limit. It sure isn`t *laughs*

Who is "The U", and who does it consist of? The U consists of Donye'a G., Merge, Deezy, Kenny Wright, Faye Valentine, Dave Young, A Roc, Ami and I. Which are producers, writers, and artists.

Ok so this is the team that you plan to take with you to the top? Indeed.

Always important to have a team, what can we anticipate from you on your upcoming mixtape? And do you have a name for it yet? Everything! Different tempos, different genres, harmonizing...everything! Yes, it’s called "Prepare for Takeoff"

Do we have an anticipated release date yet? It’s the first of a 4 vol. Mixtape. We are shooting for the 21st or the 28th of January.

Ok, that’s right around the corner. A 4 volume mixtape, that’s a different approach, what made you want to do a 4 volume mixtape - is there any kind story behind that? Well it’s only because we have come up with 4 different names and they all coincide and have a similar theme.

Well I look forward to hearing what each mixtape will bring. Because I’m sure they will all bring to the table some pieces that the current rap game is missing. Me too that is what I'm definitely shooting for.

And last but definitely not least, where is it that people can get in contact with you, twitter, facebook, blog? Definitely on (Twitter.com/bdotohyesss), (Facebook.com/bdotohyesss), and I will eventually have my own website.

Well we all look forward to that ... thank you for your time and we look forward to that mixtape we are def going to have to chit chat it up again when it drops. Of course... and thank you for the opportunity!!!

The Next Episode Review & Download link

"The Next Episode"

Highly anticipated, never duplicated Mr Khleo Thomas, of the most popular movie that people know him from "holes", is back at it again! But as he says he`s done more then holes, and music is being added to that resume for sure now.

Now if you haven`t heard his first mixtape "The world is a cartoon" then I suggest you download that and listen to it before you encounter his latest mixtape (follow the link by clicking on the mixtape title). Because when you hear his latest "The Next Episode" you definitely see his progress. As he said in his interview with me this new mixtape is all wrapped up in one word, BETTER! Now that i`m hearing the complete project I definitely agree Khleo! I thought the other one was good, but this one is better! Those Green monsters hae brought out the best lol.

To speak on Khleo as an artist I appreciate the fact that he can have a dope track without cussing! I feel if you can get a message across without having the extras I enjoy it a lot more. Now some may find that to be a negative, but NO I find that to be a positive. I feel that this mixtape holds the lyrical, conceptual, sexy, and high energy tracks that makes this mixtape a great compilation. This is what I like to hear. Great job Khleo, I look forward to the follow up mixtape and getting with you to do a feature on that as well! Enjoy!

Diamondz, Boyz, & 808`s Review & Download Link

 "DIAMONDZ, BOYS & 808`s"

The highly anticipated Mixtape of Kanary Diamonds is finally here! After all the constant RT`s from her Twitter as well as from fans about her mixtape - everybody was definitely excited and anticipating this drop. Today is #KDAY, but for me it came early because I had the privilege of listening to it before it`s scheduled drop date.

Now when you first see miss Kanary, you automatically think 'she`s just another pretty face what kind of skill could she have?' a judgment she is very familiar with and on a mission to BREAK! I can say I thought the same! (sorry girl), but when you hear the first track on her mixtape *sings* she`s your Queeeeeen to beeeee. Ha-ha ... you see that she`s about her talent. Don`t let her pretty looks fool you!

Now I listened to the mixtape probably about four times total, because after listening to something numerous times you can give your true opinion on it. For me, this mixtape did it for me! I could listen to it each time all the way through without skipping a track. I felt the mixtape was well rounded. She had her conceptual tracks, her get the party started tracks, and her raw edge tracks. Something I always look for when I listen to a mixtape. Because most times I feel a mixtape should showcase a little bit of everything that you can do. And I definitely feel that this mixtape delivered!

I find that her fans will not be disappointed! Great job Kanary ... Enjoy!

This Woman Right here, is somethin else!

I have been truly blessed to have a woman like this in my life! I know that there are many people who aren`t fortunate to have a mother in their life, so for that I am grateful. She has done so much for me in my 22 going on 23 years of life and no words can describe how much I am thankful and appreciative of what she`s done for me.

Shes`s firstly my mother. The person who watches over me, protects me, tells me right from wrong. She gives me wisdom, she lends me guidance, she has taught me about my heavenly father. Above all one of the most prized things she could ever teach me.

Secondly she is my friend. She`s been there for me through my ups and downs with boys, she`s been there to give me those encouraging words, and she`s always believed in me and what I do. She has supported me since day one with my business, kept me strong when I was at my weakest, and always knows the right things to say when I'm down.

She is the most amazing woman I know, and I am so proud to call her my mother. She makes me laugh, she makes me think, and she makes me want to be the best woman I can be. I hope that when I have kids of my own that I can teach them as well as she has taught me!! Because of her I am the strong, God-fearing, fun-loving, ambitious woman I am today. No one can compare ... I love her !!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM
